The entrance to Tomorrowland is seen in this 1956 photo. Because of the wide pathway into this section of Disneyland, it appeared more welcoming and gave guests a sense of curiosity about what was beyond the Avenue of Flags.
The Timex Clock of the World mimicked the look of an hourglass, entertaining guests for approximately 11 years until it was removed to make way for "New" Tomorrowland.
This September 3, 1958 photo gives you a color view of the entrance (just in case you have an aversion to black & white!).

The b&w Hat Bar photo is cool. Nice Mod Hatter photo too. Not many of those around.
A couple of guys kneeling down in the flight circle (photo 5), but no crowds. Must be reseting the cars and planes for the next show. Great shot of the hat bar and Hobbyland. Not many pictures actually capture the entire row of stands. And, just to the left, you can see the railing that surrounded Walt's Autopia Car on display. The picture also captures the feel of that California haze. Haven't seen that in years.
