Pirates Grog, June 1958



Just one shot for today. I love the interaction going on here aboard the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship restaurant. Notice the wooden leg of the pirate, resting on the rail of the ship. Everyone is gathered around the parrot cage; our view of this finely feathered creature is blocked by one of the guests who is observing the conversation between the pirate and the young’un. Any of my readers able to tell us what a Pirate’s Grog tasted like? I’ll bet that vending machine would fetch a pretty penny today.

For you curious readers, here’s 2 previously posted photos showing Paco, the Parrot. These young boys look a little nervous about what Paco might say (or do) while perched on their arms.

These are great... I've seen pictures of the sign mentioning Paco, but don't think I've ever seen a picture of him.
