The Shriners at Disneyland, June 1960, Pt. 1

Just a 2-parter this time, dear readers. Today I will post a few from inside the park with the Shriners. First we have a shot of our Grand Poobah, proudly standing in front of the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland. Shot #2 is back on Main Street standing amidst the artificial flowers of the Flower Market. Too bad these are too blurry to read the “Hello my name is...” sticker on his lapel.

Tomorrow, the Shriners go to Holidayland! Here are a few pics from the weekend of the construction at Riverbelle Terrace, due to open in less than a week:

And here’s one of the Subs at night:

And a few Holiday shots:

Shriners rule! Do you think this guy actually wore his fez all day? I'm looking forward to the Holidayland pictures!

Thanks for the Riverbelle Terrace pictures at all, it looks like it's going to feel a lot like its old self.

That Shriner guy is too funny, reminds me of the Flintstones! He seems awful proud of that hat! Great to see the Riverbelle Terrace looking so nice, I was worried they might mess it up! Nice submarine lagoon night shot, I like it! Looks like you had a nice trip!
