June 1961 Mark Twain Quartet

Here is a quartet of images from June 1961 that showcases everyone's favorite floating wedding cake, The Mark Twain. In image one, you can see the edge of the Chicken Plantation Restaurant on the left-hand side of the photo. Better hurry up if you want to try it; less than a year left before it gets the boot!

Plenty going on here; a little canoeing, guests exiting the Twain, and a few bales of hay for good measure. Cascade Peak is just out of view.

Our vintage photographer got a nice shot of the dock from the Twain. You can also see the little bandstand in Frontierland that hosted the Gonzalez Trio.

See more vintage and current Disneyland Mark Twain photos on my Mark Twain web page.

That's an awesome pic of the Mark Twain approaching the dock with Cascade Peak in the background.
