July 17, 1968: 13th Anniversary, Pt. 7

Sadly, today is our last day showing the July 17, 1968 photos. The first view is an establishing shot, showing the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse in all its artificial glory. The rest of the photos were taken high atop the treehouse, focusing on the Mark Twain and all the other transportation choices available on the Rivers of America.

See more vintage and current Disneyland Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse photos at my regular website.

Beautiful set from this series. I just spent 2 trips to the Swiss Treehouse yesterday (at WDW) and I'll have photo's next week, but not as sweet as these. Thanks Dave!

I have always loved that view through the branches... it's been so long since I've bothered to go up into Tarzan's Treehouse that I keep forgetting that there might at least be a great view of the park from up there.

Great shots Dave! I especially like the first one, showing the south end of the island in its natural-looking "Rivers of America" style... before it was visually overwhelmed by a few hundred square feet of concrete for you-know-which ambiance-wrecking spectacular. :P

Those last three are pretty spectacular. It is a great framing device.
