1963 BW Set

Welcome to Disneyland! It’s 1963, and all the color has been drained for this particular trip, captured in black and white film. Our host, looking slightly nerdish in glasses, plaid shirt, and a pocket protector, is posing in front of the Mickey floral.

Making our way up Main Street, our host stops next to the Carnation Gurr-mobile, awaiting his closeup.

This guy appears to have little interest in the Flower Market!

Want to see more from this series? You’ll have to click on over to my Jungle Cruise blog to see the rest. See more vintage & current Main Street photos at my regular website.

The guy in the picture looks like George Michell's younger brother. And he'd better get a move on if he wants to see the park! It's after 1:30 and he still dawdling down Main Street.

Katella Gate, is that a "Dennis the Menace" reference?? Ha ha.

Honestly, if the Flower Mart had never gone away, who among us would have spent much time there today?
