The Tahitian Terrace, June 1966

From one June 1966 I am giving you an entire post. So much to see here at The Tahitian Terrace! We have funky things on top of signs:

We have menus:

Here's a better look at what this guest is perusing:

A cast member dressed in a very colorful outfit:

and finally, vintage signage!

Plenty more Tahitian Terrace at my main website.

Of all the restaurants at Disneyland, this is the one I didn't go to. I think because my family was so familiar with all things Hawaiian and Tahitian (my grandparents were born in Hawaii) my parents thought it redundant. Even as an adult I passed it up. Now I wish I had gone. The only Disneyland restaurant I failed to dine at during my visits to Disneyland. Now I regret it. Great post! Thanks, Dave.

There has never been a more fitting restaurant in that location since TT was closed. The drum sounds of the shows added a feel of being in a real Adventureland. The JC skippers (including me) always had a wisecrack or two should we be passing when one of the entertainers was walking along the stepping stones between the stage and backstage. The girls looked great in their costumes :). We'd 'spotlight' them at night! KS
