Disneyland News, July 1960

I could not believe my eyes when I saw this July 1960 image; a total vintage Disneyland geek's dream shot! A park map on display, souvenir paper hats, newspaper headlines, and vintage fashions! Just too much for my brain to comprehend on a Wednesday morning.

And Wanted posters, too!

While you're at it, be sure to check the headlines of the day. Maybe put on a pair of cat-eyeglasses like these two ladies. I think I need my smelling salts; I am in geek heaven.

See more Daveland Disneyland vintage & current entrance/exit photos at my main website.

This is definitely a Disneyland geek's dream shot. I love it! What I'm really amazed by is that there appears to be actual newspapers on the racks making it a real newsstand. Nice find! Thanks, Dave.

That picture is absolutely rich with the times. I love the map and forked out considerably more for a replica years ago. ...framed it, too. Neat that those are real news headlines, not just Marty Sklar's Disney newspaper, and yet seeing one of those would be pretty neat too.

Man, how I wish I could say I remember those!!! I know I must have walked right by them but sadly, don't remember them at all.

Nice shot! There was enough in the headline for me to date the LA Times as that of July 6, 1960. (The full headline is "Johnson Enters Race, Hits Kennedy's Youth.")
