Monday with a Crocodile

The Crocodile from Peter Pan is not a character you see frequently walking around the Park. This recently acquired September 1962 shot shows Captain’s arch nemesis hanging around Fantasyland near the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant.

Digging back through the archives I also found this shot from July 1962 which includes Peter Pan:

The Crocodile was also part of the show “Fantasmic!” on the Rivers of America:

I captured this daylight shot of the croc awaiting the night to fall:

While looking through my collection I came across this previously posted March 1968 gem of Mr. Smee:

The highlight for me though is the lady with towering bouffant hairdo in the background and the nails for days!

I love how Croc is casually resting his arm on the trash can! I don't remember seeing many photos of him so this is a treat.

Yes, that lady has got that hair style down! I wore my hair that way a few times back in the day but it wasn't all my hair. A wiglet was a must back then.

Wow, I've NEVER seen the walkaround croc!

I LOVE that crocodile character, and also the Fantasmic crocodile! Great pictures!

Add wings to that adorable little girl, by Peter Pan, and also add a little pixie dust and *POOF!* you have the cutest Tinkerbell in the world!

That beehive is REALLY something! Did men really find those attractive???

Thanks, Dave!

I don't think I have ever seen the Crocodile character before, or a Peter Pan either. I love him leaning on the trash can.

I'm trying to figure out the backdrop to the Peter Pan photo, the roof behind the Croc looks like the Bobsled Chalet, but the rocks are wrong for the Matterhorn?

I do remember Mr. Smee from childhood visits with an almost normal head, and the very large Captain Hook.

I vaguely remember the floating crocodile from Fantasmic, although it has been years since I have seen that show. I have actively avoided it since the first viewing.

That's quite a hairdo and nails on the lady in the last shot. My Dad had a shirt similar to that on her companion.

These are really great and unusual pics, Dave. Thank you very much.
