December 1962: Monorail in Tomorrowland

Last one of my trio of recently acquired December 1962 color images. The cool blue Monorail is parked at the Tomorrowland Monorail Station, while below, my favorite gal in the straw hat smiles for the camera.

Going deep into the vault, I pulled this February 1963 shot out and used Lightroom to pull out some more color and details.

You can almost reach up and touch those Skyway buckets!

On a serious note, prayers go out to the people, families, and animals affected by the fires raging through parts of San Diego.

Don't think I've ever seen a pic of the Mark II Monorail Blue at the Tomorrowland monorail station from this angle before. Love the flowerbeds around the Submarine Voyage entry area. Beautiful!

I've seen the Mark II Monorail Red image before in your archive and it's one of my favorites. Love the rock work below and the Skyway above, while the monorail train arrives at its destination. The guests are going up the speed ramp adds to the excitement of this view. Nice set today. Thanks, Dave.

Just saw the San Diego fires you mentioned on the local and national news up here. It looks terrible. Hopefully it will be under control soon. My thoughts and prayers are with the residents of those areas.
