A Vision of Beauty!

Normally, I feel the need to post multiple photos each day. Today's image stands alone very well, don't you think? This July 1962 shot of both the red and blue Monorails is probably one of my favorites from my collection. The cascading waterfall from the Submarine Voyage in the background is a nice bonus for this amazing composition, don't you think?

See more vintage & current Disneyland Monorail photos on my Monorail web page.

I could cry. This is one of those photos that really brings it all home. I've said this before, but -- when you look at something like this -- is it any wonder so many of us who grew up with Disneyland in that era fell in love with the place?

Since I assume the photo was taken from the Skyway, that's perfect timing on the monorails. You can also see a section of the Autopia track before the guide rails, part of the Submarine Voyage queue and an exit turnstile. Love the Santa Fe Logo on the monorail trains and station. All great stuff!

I agree! It's an amazing photo.

This was an amazing time at an amazing place. Limitless vitality and imagination. What a privilege it was live close by and enjoy almost monthly. This Disneyland was the high water mark of popular culture.
