Happy Friday! I am celebrating the weekend with just one image for today, showing the backstage construction of the exterior of the Matterhorn. Talk about painstaking! See more vintage & current Matterhorn photos at my regular website.
The photo shows an utility area just over the "fence" in Tomorrowland, in the compound where the old administration buildings were.
On the right you can see (of course) the TWA rocket, but on the left in the haze next to the telephone pole you can see the steel cage skeleton of the Matterhorn.

Neato construction photo, just think, no computer aided designed there! Where is this backstage area?
That is a GREAT photo!

Probably the coolest Disneyland photo I've seen in at least a year. Thanks, Dave!
Those numbered parking spots were for management. Looks like they were pushed out and probably had to park with the peons.
Imagine that today hehe Hm wonder what part they were building... hand crafted, like so much at the parks new & old. :) Love anything Matterhorn.
Hi Dave, still around just not with the time I'd. Hope to catch up here soon. Had to comment though, still enjoying the pics!
Fantastic Matterhorn shot. Thanks!
