I Dream of Jeannie at Disneyland
When it comes to parades, Frontierland is not the normal place I think of to watch them, and it’s probably the last place I’d expect to see an “I Dream of Jeannie” lookalike. Showing a belly-button was huge problem for NBC back in the 1960’s; apparently, not a problem for Disneyland’s Frontierland! Censorship be damned, bring on the harem girls!
Following closely behind, it’s the attack of the 50' floats! Run for the hills, kids!
Slightly less creepy are the Toy Soldiers, making me think this batch must be from around Christmas time.
You can call this shot “Ship of Fools.” If only they’d been patient enough to wait for the next Mark Twain journey...
They could have been serenaded by the Disneyland Band!
See—patience really IS a virtue!

Dave- Parade is Christmas In Many Lands....seen in 1957, 1958 or 1959.
Hold on a second here - I thought those scary Huge Headed things were from America On Parade 1975/76?
You mean they actually had these monstrosities before and still choose to use them again??????
Actually, looking closer they appear to be HUGE Its a small world figures (again years ahead of time)... Freaky...
Holy cow, that was a trip! And interesting, too!
Thanks for the info Patrick! Tim - I agree. These really creep me out.
Dancing girls...w00t.

Is that a magic genie bottle in your lap or are you just happy to see me? I guess you're right, censorship be damned at Disneyland! :)
WOAH!! guys, i don't think that's either of those parades. too late for Christmas In Many Lands and much more specific and better looking than America On Parade.
it's a parade i've never heard of before.
those characters are Small World characters and the in-between human themed dancers are for the various lands depicted in the attraction.
THAT IS DAMN COOL!!! it must be from 1966 and be related to the opening of the attraction at the park.
THIS IS A MAJOR (no pun, Major!) DISNEYLAND FIND!!!
I recognize that blonde dancer from a couple of my own pix, she is pretty smokin'.
I believe that this is from the first year of "Fantasy on Parade".
I believe there is footage of this parade on one of the Wonderful World of Disney/Color episodes. It definitely is from around the time that Small World opened.
I can't help it...I like these Small World floats/costumes and also the large doll-like costumes that were used in America on Parade. And no, I don't collect dolls!
You gotta love dancing girls, and yes, Major, I agree. At least they didn't actually have to carry that guy since it's obvious that he would be on the ground at this point due to their focusing more on dancing than carrying. Not that I mind...
