Scholarly Saturdays: Encyclopaedia Britannica & Fantasyland, Pt. 2

Today we visit some of the Dark Rides in Fantasyland, starting off with the most popular one, Peter Pan's Flight. For the 2nd image, Bobby & Susie are on sabbatical while these two adult guests get featured instead.

Susie was probably too scared to go on Snow White's Dark Ride.

This family seems to be enjoying their ride on Grumpy!

Before Captain EO, 3D had a home at the Mickey Mouse Club Theater! AND it's air conditioned!

And of course the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant (notice how the sponsor is not mentioned on the film strip?):

Here's the dynamic duo, barely noticeable on the left hand side of this shot:

Bobby makes a quick comeback before we sign off for this week:

You mean to tell me the "pirate ship" doesn't sail anywhere? Who Knew!

Man these are fun, the attraction facades are great, funky and done a bit on the cheap, but still festive and unique.

Thanks for detailing this series for us Dave.

Name the other dwarfs? Simple: Tipsy, Queasy, Surly, Sleazy, Edgy, Dizzy and Remorseful.

Oh, hold it. That's Duff Gardens. My Bad.

Was the Mickey Mouse theater ever closer to the castle? That facade looks like it could almost be in the fore-court were the Princess shop is now.

I don't think the Mickey Mouse Theater was ever in a different location.
