The Fairmont Hotel, 1956



In San Francisco, the Fairmont Hotel has been a symbol of luxury since its opening back in 1907. This vintage 1956 shot shows two guests standing by a sign inside the hotel promoting the vast array of dining and entertainment options available.



Shall we take a closer look? Of course! The headliner in the Venetian Room is Miguelito Valdes, aka Mr. BabalĂș.

Bim Bam Boom! I know this song from the low-budget classic, "Forbidden Zone". Meanwhile, look at all those "rooms", all that entertainment. Amazing.
