Disneyland June 1972 Photos, Pt. 3

PeopleMover fans rejoice! These first four shots are just absolutely spectacular, showing off the original "New" Tomorrowland entrance in all its glory, as well as the Mary Blair Tile Murals...

and the complex layering and movement of this excitingly vital land...

Here's to hoping that the upper level of Tomorrowland gets re-used again soon with something just as innovative and progressive as The PeopleMover!

Over at The Tomorrowland Terrace (sponsored by Coca-Cola!), "The Better Half" is playing to a good sized crowd.

Zooming in for a look at the band:

It would appear that Snow White and the Dwarfs got lost in Tomorrowland. It's a bit bizarre to seem the dancing at the Terrace.

Perhaps they wandered off from a nearby parade, which is what I am assuming these costumed characters are a part of.

Hope you enjoyed this little trilogy of 1972 images!

The first photo is my favorite. You first have the immaculate flower beds packed with color, then of course the pastel yellow PeopleMover overhead...the aluminum facade on the right hand spire and a peek at the left one, the iconic Matterhorn anchors the backdrop.

Thanks for sharing.

These are awesome photos of Tomorrowland ‘67. I love the photo of Snow White and the dwarfs dancing at the Tomorrowland Terrace. I really wish they’d tear down the Peoplemover tracks since it’s not coming back. They’re just an eyesore now and a reminder of what once was an awesome place. It’s time for Disney to move forward with some entirely new ideas and really give Tomorrowland a serious overhaul on the same level of Cars Land. JMO.

So many of the bands playing at the Terrace look exactly the same (three or four guys on instruments, pretty girl singing). I truly wonder if it was the same band, just using a different name.

Love the Peoplemover pix!

Compared to today's Tomorrowland, well, I could just cry. But I did that long ago.
