Skyway and Autopia Assortment

My beloved round buckets are coming and going from the Fantasyland Skyway Station in this October 1963 view. I have also included two detail shots, showing a little bit of buried treasure at the skull rock cove and an overview of the snack bar that I posted a black and white shot of about a month ago. Would someone please tell the guy that is taking the picture of the buried treasure that I want the photos he was taking that day?

Next up are 3 bw Autopia views, with the monorail track looming overhead. Anybody able to give these three a year based on the body of the Autopia cars?

See more vintage and contemporary Disneyland photos at my main website.

Love the detail of the buried treasure...was that always there?

David - I believe it was part of the 1960's remodel that added Skull Rock.

Sad to say it, Dave, but since the guy taking the pictures is standing at a Kodak picture spot, he most likely is taking just another shot of Skull Rock with the bow of the Pirate ship in the foreground. He doesn't even realize the 'treasure' right under his nose. Bet you have dozens of pics that match what he's taking! Blame those cursed 'picture spots' - they led the way to many, many duplicate photos!

Make that the stern of the ship, perhaps.

Good point, anonymous; I often look at those Kodak picture spot signs and wonder who the heck designated those?!? I don't think I've ever used them.

Here's kind of a fun excercise, Dave. Try matching the Kodak picture spots up with the pictures you have! It might be neat to see the actual sign in one odd angle shot, and the resulting 'Kodak' photo you got in another. Starting with this one! Just what DID he get a picture of?
