1960’s Batch: Pt. 1
Part one of a semi-short series of undated slides most likely from the mid-late 1960’s; I am sure there is a Disney Geek out there who could narrow it down with the Freddie Hart on the entrance marquee. This one was taken from the car window, and obviously includes signs for Denny's and the Desert Inn. See more vintage and current Disneyland photos on my regular website. The numbers keep rising on evacuations and burned acreage, and as of this morning, the I-5 was shut down near Camp Pendleton. Still hoping for more favorable winds and a break for all the brave fire fighters out there.

Dave, According Disney Memorabilia forums, Freddie appeared at the Tomorrowland terrace in 1969 in a mini-concert. Other artists: Anne Murray, Faron Young. Great photo from a moving car. We lived at that Denney's, and had many a Grand Slam at midnight. Our prayers for everyone's safty go out to all who battle the fires for the rest of us.
