Trip to Disneyland June 1963, Pt. 3
Our 1963 family journeys over to Fantasyland today, starting off with the obligatory shot in front of the castle. Shot 2 is King Arthur Carrousel, then we have 3 character shots (the little girl is adorable, but who’s the little brat feeling up Foulfellow's nose?!?).
Here are the NICE children enjoying a ride on Dumbo.
And here are the little scamps on the teacups, as well as an overhead Skyway shot of the teacups.
3 shots of the Skull Rock/Chicken of the Sea area.
The last four shots are from Casey Junior and Storybook Canal; love the one of the little girl in the cage!
Note on the photos: many of you have commented on the cool "dreamy" quality of these; I'm a big fan of clarity, however, the original photos I scanned are TINY; not even regular 3x5 print size. Still, they are a great snapshot into a day of activity at the park. See you next in Tomorrowland!

I like how the little girl is always facing the camera, even in the character shots. She looks like she was quite the little ham! I wonder if she is some actress somewhere.
It would be cool if the people in these pictures turned out to be somebody we knew, or if they contacted us and gave some backstory. I'd love to hear again from the lady whose father-in-law was the Keystone Kop. I have since found 2 other photos that he is most likely in.
15 vintage Disneyland photos in one post just might be a new world's record!
dave...
what old lady did you conk over the head to get such a treasured family collection? sheesh!
Jordan - Never violence! Blackmail and bribery yes, but not physical harm. Unless of course the blackmail and bribery don't work...
dave...
from the way your collection's shaping up, i'm sure 'temporary intimacy'isn't off the table either!
you ruthless savage!
Temporary intimacy...now THERE'S a good one, Jordan! Now I have an idea how YOU must be getting your stuff!
Great photos! And so many in one day! The older boy reminds me of Spin & Marty's own Ambitious. Such fun pictures! Makes me want to plan a Disneyland trip!
Love the overhead pic from the Skyway- the Midget Autopia is still in operation and the location for IASW is still just a stand of trees, probably just a drawing on someone's desk at this point.
