Sailing Through Sundays on The Jungle Cruise: JC 3D Wallpapers & Studio Tour

Wannabe JC Skipper Aaron Robbins just sent me a link to his 3D JC Wallpapers, of which this photo was one. Purty cool stuff!

For TokyoMagic, here’s a closeup of the poster inside the Penny Arcade; not very sharp or detailed, unfortunately:

Here are a few teaser photos from my trip to the Disney Studio & Archives yesterday. First up is the bird that started it all: the mechanical bird that inspired Walt Disney to look into audio animatronics.

And how about the first parking pass, still unused adhesive included!

Stay tuned, as there is more to come from the Archives & Studio. Over in Anaheim, Tiana’s Jubilee is a rousing musical treat on the Mark Twain that is not to be missed. Sure is nice to have Tiana & Company in New Orleans Square, as the Jack Sparrow stuff is getting a little tired. Can’t wait for the release of “The Princess and The Frog.” More shots and trip report to follow as well.

See more Disneyland Jungle Cruise photos at my website.

Cool stuff from the archives! The mechanical bird looks a bit moth-eaten, but I think the story says that it was taken apart by Imagineers to see what made it tick--- er, whistle.

Didn't that bird used to sit on a table in one of Walt's offices in the Walt Disney Story?

Thanks for the attempt at a closer look at the Penny Arcade poster, Dave!

I'm also looking forward to "The Princess & the Frog!"
