Spring 1975, Pt. 3

Back to our 1975 series, we now meet the Maude & Phyllis (the names seem to fit these gals so that’s what I’m calling them). Phyllis has just sent a lovely postcard back home to the gals in her local Bird Watching Club. Surprisingly enough, these mailboxes still look pretty much the same:

Many shots of the gals yucking it up with characters from "Robin Hood," which had been released 2 years prior to these photos being taken:

Phyllis is telling the gals back home to eat their hearts out with this one!

Meeting of the minds, perhaps? Note bored cast member in background.

As always, beautiful floral plantings in Central Plaza, pre-Partners Statue:

The final photo in the series provides us with a last chance to get a balloon before we leave the park:

In the words of Bob Hope... "Thanks for the Memories".

With the price of everything going up so fast, sites like yours are about as close as I'll get to Disneyland or Disneyworld for a long time. Thanks Dave!

I'm lovin' the mail box, Dave.

I think Phyllis and Maude look suspiciously like Eastern European spies, sent to infiltrate the wholesomeness that's Disneyland. It's good to know Robin Hood, et. al., are there to protect us.

Seriously, the color in those shots (especially the Robin Hood/Prince John photo) really held up well over time.

These are some fine photographs the ladies took! There name are correct, but I think “Maude” must be the grey haired lady and she looks like she doesn’t take crap from anyone!

Thanks Dave!

My kids love Robin Hood. I wish those characters still strolled around the park.

What a great look at an amazing time.

It is so funny to see people in jackets at DL.
