Frontierland, 1958. These little lads with the rolled up jeans look extremely vintage, and I can only imagine that they couldn’t wait for dad to snap the shutter so that they could go explore the wilderness of the 1950’s Disneyland Frontier while riding on a brand-spanking new Columbia. Here is a shot just taken last weekend (so I know Major hasn’t seen it yet); as I stood at the hub taking this, I realized that the Frontierland Gate was the only Land Entrance that had NOBODY going through it. I mean nobody. Nada. Zip. Zilcho. And that’s a shame, as I think it is one of the most beautiful entrances in the park.

Here are the little goobers on Dumbo:

Since Dumbo moved locations in the 1983 Fantasyland revamp, a current day photo won’t really offer much of a comparison, but here’s one anyway:

That Frontierland entrance photo was taken on a weekend in June? Where the heck is everybody??
The black and white photo is great with that awesome sign for the Columbia... never seen that before!
The banner is a first for me too! Great picture.
