Madonna: Vogue



This is the 2nd Madonna painting I ever did; showing her in a pose from what is probably my favorite video: Vogue. Her creative team did an excellent job of recreating the mood of my favorite still photographer of the 30’sa/40’s, George Hurrell. This painting was published in a book showcasing different artists’ representations of Madonna, titled Madonna in Art.

I know it's not, but I like the sort of computer-generated stylization this one has going on. I might us that image if I can find it to paint her today.
