Frontierland Train Station

Before there was a New Orleans Square, the train station in that area hailed from Frontierland. This shot is from August, 1958. It doesn’t look all that different today, and next to Main Street, it’s still one of my favorite stations in the park.

See more vintage and contemporary Disneyland Railroad photos at my main website.

I think Frontierland station is my favorite as well. Not many people took photos of it either (and even fewer photographed Tomorrowland Station).

Nice shot. This is the station most directly modeled after Ward Kimball's station and the station that appeared in So Dear to My Heart.

WOW what a great photo! The Disneyland (& Santa Fe) RR is still one of my favorite attractions. What makes this shot interesting is that it was taken from inside the train. You can just make out the fringe of the awning in the upper left. I also love the detail of the station. Check out the “wheel” ornamentation next to the Telegraph sign.

Hey, is that the “Hacienda” side of the Plantation House (see Major Pepperidge's site)? It looks like the same blue railings and cream color from a slide on his blog site. It seems that these two building were close to each other if I’m not mistaken.
