The Disneyland Stagecoach, August 1956

Until 1960, it was possible to ride a Stagecoach like this and tour the sights of Frontierland.

See more vintage and contemporary Disneyland photos at my main website.

The "wilderness" really seems to go on and on behind the Stagecoach. Pretty convincing for little Disneyland.

Hey Dave- in looking at this image it is much more rare than just the Stage Coach. It appears that the wagon is a yellow buckboard style wagon and the Stage Coach is in the background. I believe the yellow wagon was used in the opening day parade and then it appears it was used to run the trails of the Rainbow Desert. I would date this photo to 1955 or 1956.

You are correct on the date; as this entry states, the date on the slide is August 1956. Thanks for the extra info again, as always!

I have an early souvenir slide that calls this the "Yellowstone Coach".
