
I am digging this October 1962 shot of a Disneyland train heading into the Frontierland tunnel! Zooming in, you can see that construction of the exterior of the Haunted Mansion attraction building is fairly far along.

A previously posted shot from November 1962 gives an overall view of how the area looked:

Back to our original image for today, it gives us a nice glimpse of the cab area.

Oh boy, Dave, do I ever love these kind of shots. Looking at that very simple back-head on the #1 through those curtains. I'd never seen those before.
And the little twinkling of the green light signaling "clear" for the run skirting the Rivers of America. Good stuff.
