Central Plaza & Frontierland Gate

Here’s an undated from the 1950’s; I am also including a detail of the lattice work from the area where the bandstand once stood.

See more vintage and contemporary Disneyland Central Plaza photos at my main website.

It's funny how photographers sometimes capture cool stuff without even realizing it. I forget, was the bandstand removed from Disneyland, or was it just moved elsewhere at this point?

Great pics as usual!!!!!!!!
I think that the lattice work is of Plaza Gardens before the pavilion was added in the late 50's. The carnation snack area and stage were built in 56 or 57 and the big cover came in 58! :)

Major - The Bandstand was eventually removed from Disneyland and is now located at Roger's Gardens in Newport Beach. It was remuddled and barely looks the same anymore. Whether it is still standing, I do not know. Any Newport residents out there who know?

And the reason for removing the bandstand was... just lack of interest? Change of the times?
