Treehouse—No Tarzan allowed, August 1976

These photos are not the greatest in quality, but they are still a nice glimpse into how the Treehouse looked before the Swiss Family was evicted and Tarzan took over. I REALLY love shot #2; if only the quality was better. It looks like something out of a magazine: “Velma sees a bright future in the new fixer-upper she just purchased in the little hamlet of Anaheim.”

On the bright side, the Treehouse is now open again for tours after a mini-rehab. For more vintage & current Treehouse photos, visit my regular website.

I do miss the old Treehouse, although the kids of today probably wouldn't "get" the Swiss Family references.

There's a film that has a lot of potential as a remake, though it could also be a disaster...

the old treehouse was without question better than the current incarnation.
