Another Black & White series, 1950’s: Pt. 1

I’m draining out the color at Daveland again and presenting you with another Black & White series; this one is undated, but most likely it’s around 1957. That’s my guess and I’m stickin' to it. Today you get two rare images of the queue area from “Snow White’s Scary Adventures.” Shot #1 is the rarely seen portion of the mural that adorns the queue wall, showing The Old Crone and her cauldron. Shot #2 is an unfortunate double exposure, with the guest riding in the Dopey mine car passing the rest of the mural.

From a previous post, you can see the Snow White portion of the mural, which was the most photographed section:

Today, there is no mural in the queue; a replica of the Dwarf’s cottage is placed there instead:

However, the exit area does have a mural showing Snow & Company:

More early black and white shots to follow tomorrow! See more Disneyland Snow White’s Scary Adventures photos at my website.

Great photos. For those interested in the old Disneyland Snow White Ride, there is an event at the Snow White Cafe, 6769 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles on May 13th, 2010. There will be an artifact from the ride on display for that night only. For more detailed info, visit http://ghoula.blogspot.com/2010/05/mays-spirits-with-spirits.html
