
I was not expecting a Disneyland connection during my recent Joshua Tree trip, but there it was. I rounded one of the corners at the Inn, I noticed this bench. I told Justin, the Inn employee, that it looked like a bench from New Orleans Square. I pulled out my phone to look at my website, and bingo.

This style of bench has been around the park at least as far back as November 1965, when my Mom and brothers enjoyed a Welch’s frozen bar in Fantasyland:

I wish I knew where Walt found these, as well as where the Joshua Tree Inn obtained their bench.
