Holiday at the Mansion, Pt. 3

I took a number of attic shots, but still missed the painting of Elvis. Sigh…

A great portrait of Jack and his dog, Zero:

closeup:

The luck of good timing!

I still don't see my name on this list.

The Hatbox Ghost was still there (yay!) with a few festive touches added to the area.

Jack and Zero (barely seen on the right) welcome you to the cemetery.

Oh how I'd love to photograph this area with just a little more light!

This is one of my favorite sights in the cemetery.

Oogie Boogie never fails to disappoint here…but I sure do miss the Hitchhiking Ghosts.

It's nice to see Sally with a little movement/animation.

Hope you enjoyed this year's Haunted Mansion Holiday Tour!

Holiday at the Mansion, Pt. 2

Welcome back to the NBC version of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion; and I'm not talking about the peacock network (anybody remember that reference?).

For some reason these spider webs with lights fascinate me.

As does this creepy candy cane creature. Say that one hundred times. Fast.

Fortune was smiling on my fingers as I snapped at just the right time…

to capture the witch flying by.

and some bats shooting out of Oogie Boogie's mouth.

It's hard to see this little goblin fishing for gifts as the lights begin to go dim here.

At least this hallway is better lit than the regular Haunted Mansion, making decent photos a bit easier to capture.

These screeching flowers are fine the first time. A little annoying if you plan on doing repeat rides.

LOVE this little dude.

If your eye site is REEEEEEAL good you can see what the sign says from your Doombuggy.

For Christmas, feel free to get me a thirteen hour clock. I need another hour in the day.

If you can't say anything nice, say nothing.

Drat that gingerbread scent they pump into the ballroom; makes me hungry every time!

It's always a welcome site to see Zero floating through the Mansion.

And the duel goes on…and on…and on…

The grand finale happens tomorrow.

Holiday at the Mansion, Pt. 1

Welcome to the Haunted Mansion, Jack Skellington-style. We all have our opinions on the Holiday makeover; I prefer the regular version, but this annual dressed-up version is still a fun change.

This would have been cooler if the pumpkin was throwing up seeds! Too much? Perhaps. I like things a little funky, though.

WHAT?!? Zero days? So little time for shopping.

Inside the foyer, plenty of little touches to show that the Mansion is slightly different. Who but Tim Burton would think of combining Halloween and Christmas?

This time, I managed to get all four "portraits" in the elevator:

and the "after" versions (not necessarily in the same order):

Let the digital effects begin:

The hanging skeleton is still in the attic…

albeit via a digital effect:

I think that's enough for one day, don't you?
