As temperatures begin to dip down to the 40s in Southern California, a vacation in the desert sounds mighty good! That’s exactly what Shirley Temple did back in November 1941. From the vintage publicity caption:

PALM SPRINGS, CAL.: Shirley Temple, who has returned to the films is shown vacationing at the Desert Inn. Shirley is growing to be quite a young lady, she’s 14 now. She was photographed while playing a game of darts. 11-24-41
