I always get a bit excited when I acquire a “new” image of the Disneyland Tomorrowland Space Couple; this July 1967 shot is no exception. My favorite part is the little boy looking at the Spaceman’s silver painted work shoes. Even he knows something ain’t right here! The boy in the red cap is guarding his Disneyland Popcorn box with his life. If he knew how much that might fetch him in 2026, he would be holding it even closer.
Any idea what the window in the background is showing? I’m in too much of a hurry this morning to check!

The space couple (and their Earthling friends) are standing near the exit of Monsanto’s Hall of Chemistry. :)
I wonder if 'Junior' fancies himself as the next Mr. Blackwell-?
As this 'Space Man' and 'Space Girl' "couple" have been seen in other images clearly from the New Tomorrowland, it's not likely this image was taken 'standing near the exit of Monsanto's Hall of Chemistry'. I'm not smart-enough to pinpoint it exactly - possibly near the north show building(s) approaching Coca-Cola Terrace, but-??
I agree with the Hall of Chemistry guess. You can see a Monsanto sign through the glass and that is not the exit of Inner Space.
I may not have any experience or knowledge on this topic, but this is the internet and blatant ignorance hasn't stopped millions of others from speaking so here goes.
Nanook is right. All images I found for spaceman and spacewoman from 55-62 were with puffy rings around his wrists and knees, a box on his belt and legs with front-laces going up to the thigh. By contrast, the '66 and later had simplified down to a silver jumpsuit.
The interesting thing is that more than one of us had the first thought "end of the Monsanto building". According to our good friend "AI" who's "never wrong", the stenciling of "EXIT ONLY" on the ground was a feature of Tomorrowland from '55-to-'62 or later. Let's face it, when you're on a budget, painted stencils on the ground to tell you which way to go seems pretty futuristic. ( Wait until those people get a load of grocery stores circa 2020 with arrows on the aisle floors. )
I found one pic that lines up with the general shape of those doors, that ceiling with recessed canister lights, and even includes the ashtray. It's in Dave's Tomorrowland 67-69 gallery and it's under the lower left of the Mary Blair mural.
Also, if you look in the glass you can see the reverse reflection of the Monsanto symbol so yes, it's on the Monsanto building.
I have proved nothing, but the expenditure of effort to achieve those results is the finest summation of my life. Good luck everyone.
BTW, I acknowledge the Mary Blair mural is on the PacBell building and therefore was not the same conclusion as the Monsanto building.
