The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas opened December 15, 2010 next door to the Bellagio. Chic, modern, trendy...it is an absolutely beautiful property that doesn't try to be a faux recreation of something else.



It definitely feels posh, but not overdone. This is a concept not easily found in Las Vegas.



Well, maybe just a trifle overdone.





You might even see Johnny Depp at the hotel.



The spacious room felt comfortable and open.



The shade in the bathroom allows the room to seem lighter and more open while allowing privacy during use.



A great place to get ready for a photo shoot.



The view from the balcony...well, I guess it will do.



At nighttime, maybe just a bit more spectacular...and a great place to watch the Bellagio fountains.



There are plenty of dining options at the hotel. I enjoyed breakfast at The Henry:



An amazing cold-pressed juice concoction at The Juice Standard (the girl that waited on us deserves salesperson of the year):



Cookies at Milk:



Would I stay here again? Definitely.

Paris and Jersey: Together Again

Only in Las Vegas would Paris and Jersey be mentioned in the same breath. The long-playing musical "Jersey Boys" was what got me back to Sin City in the first place. Who can resist the music of Frankie Vallee and The Four Seasons?



The music was incredible and the set design was right up my alley. I really loved the show.



It will be awhile before I can get those songs out of my head.



Afterwards, we took the elevator up to the Eiffel Tower restaurant for a memorable dining experience.



Once you step out of the elevator you see the kitchen where the magic occurs:





The table was by the window, affording incredible views.



The Bellagio Hotel and Caesar's Palace:



The interior was just as gorgeous.



For dinner I chose the vegetarian Wellington. Although not a vegetarian, I just didn't feel like eating the meat version, so went with this very tasty alternative.



Because of the long prep time, dessert had to be ordered ahead of time. Trust me…the caramel soufflé was worth the wait!





For a very special occasion, I highly recommend The Eiffel Tower Restaurant!

Trip to Paris, Pt. Deux

Inside the spacious Calais Suite at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, it would be easy to get lost. A huge living room:



and a dining area for those who plan to cook while in town!





The bedroom was beautiful; and the TV rose up from the console at the push of a button.

And in case you need variety when nature calls, a second bathroom is also included:



The prints on the wall resembled a contemporary version of what Toulouse-Lautrec might have created for the hotel were he still alive:

Trip to Paris

The Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, that is. It had been almost five years since my last trip to Vegas and I was ready for a short weekend getaway. This hotel is one of my favorites.



The theming is fantastic; although I would never think I was actually in Paris, this hotel is a lovely homage to one of the most famous cities in the world.



Let's go inside, shall we?
