A few gems from Disneyland today, circa September 1968, starting off with an exterior shot of the Tahitian Terrace Restaurant in Adventureland. How about that little cutie hanging over the Aloha sign?

In case you want to order something, here’s what’s on the menu situated outside the entrance:

This guest is vogue-ing for the camera in New Orleans Square:

I have no idea where these steps were/are located. I need to do a deep dive. And another “new” to me is this shot of Le Forgeron shop exterior, also in New Orleans Square:

Apparently from January 1966 to January 1974 the shop sold old-fashioned metal and leaded-glass objects for the home, as seen in the closeup below:

I love the Tahitian Terrace entrance shot - especially with the tiki baby.
Thanks, Dave.
So much amazing stuff. I regret my grandparents always told me we weren't going into Tahitian Terrace because it's for adults, I wouldn't like it, etc. I remember my grandfather saying it was too expensive. Now I'm regretting I didn't stand my ground a bit more but what's a kid to do? I never got to go into the original TT before it closed in '93. As always, grateful for the amazing pics of how it once was and how AFFORDABLE ( grandpa! ) it was, even by 1960-70's dollars.
It's neat how the gift shops sell those stained glass decor and they are NOT themed to Disney. I assume if something like that made a comeback the current administration would insist they all be shaped like Tiana and Remy from Ratatouille.
I know you're just baiting me with that question about the stairs and I relent. I have to. Those are the stairs that go up to the back entrance ( or fire escape ) for Club 33. Today it would be artist corner and you wouldn't see them as there's chairs and easels all around. It would have been to the right of Lafitte's Silver Shop.
