MORE Tarita!

Just when I thought my collection had all of the Tarita shots possible, along come two new ones. For Daveland newbies, here are the three previously posted shots from 1961 showing the beautiful young Polynesian lass who was once married to Marlon Brando.





Of the five images that I have in my collection, this Adventureland photo is the only one where you actually see any guests nearby. Either security was really ramped up or poor Tarita was not generating much interest...or these shots were taken before the park opened. I'll let you draw your own conclusion.

Sexy Disneyland, 1961

My collection now has not one, not two, but THREE photos of Tarita, the Tahitian beauty best known as Marlon Brando's ex-wife and his co-star in "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1962). This time, she is found languidly lounging on the fence for Snow White's Wishing Well. Looks like some dad got his wish the day Tarita came to Anaheim! Va-va-vaoom! Here's the vintage publicity blurb:

As previously posted, Tarita was spotted in Town Square, holding a rather large bouquet of balloons, as most guests do when they visit the park.

Huh, that's funny...it doesn't look anyone is around for miles...in ANY of these photos!

The Return of Tarita!

Actress Tarita Teriipaia is probably best known for her stormy marriage to Marlon Brando. In 1961, she visited Disneyland and posed seductively for the cameras. What is truly odd about this photo is the little face that is attached to one of the balloons. Anyone know this guy's identity or why he would have been on the balloon?
