Disneyland Halloween Trip Report: Pt. 7
These gigantic orange light balloons towered over many areas of the park, setting the theme for Mickey's Halloween Party. It was only fitting that our group posed by the Star Wars Stormship Trooper photo opportunity.
Naturally, a ride on Star Tours followed.
Princess Leia never looked so good!
This was my VERY favorite part of the entire night. The ghostly quartet on the Rivers of America was fantastic, in both sight and sound.
Jack Skellington and Sally were one of the most popular photo opps in the park.
For most of the evening, I also hung out with 2 of the 3 Tours Departing Daily folk. Not only are they just about the best photographers I know, they are also a ton-o-fun.
The talents of the Disney lighting folks shines best in the pathway between Fantasyland and Frontierland. The smoke and light effects here are magnificent.
The creepy scarecrow was back again.
The Halloween Screams fireworks are also fantastic; a nice change from the regular show. Even the pre-show is fun.
The Haunted Mansion's Hitchhiking Ghosts made appearances on the castle:
Jack Skellington's dog Zero filled in for Tinkerbell:
The huge orb on the left makes a great addition with the animated characters that constantly change throughout the show. Here Jack Skellington was winking to the many guests crowded by the castle for a view.
The backside of the castle also had some spooky lighting effects.
On the way out, after gorging myself with a Firehouse Dalmatian Mint Sundae at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour, I walked as slowly as possible, trying to soak in all the details.
My final view of the night was the cobwebbed Main Street Train Station. More magic lighting!
The next morning, the magic was over as I waited for the early train back home.
Hope you enjoyed my EXTREMELY long trip report!

Disneyland Halloween Trip Report: Pt. 6
Picking things up today we are back at the Carthay Circle. This particular hub has a nice vibe to it, thanks to the musical performances of Five and Dime...
The Red Car Newsboys...
and most of all, The Red Car Trolley:
The spiel by the Conductor is a very nice touch.
The characters on Buena Vista Street are a lot of fun; having even more would increase the fun level. While they're at it, they should add some characters to Main Street over at Disneyland, too, starting with the Keystone Kops.
No short of fun details to view on Buena Vista Street. Attention Roger Rabbit fans!
Back at Disneyland, it was time to partake of the Halloween Festivities for Mickey's Halloween Party.
A stop at the Main Street Cinema showed that Tilly the ticket-taker was decked out in full Halloween attire:
Even the inside of the theater was decorated:
It was time for the Halloween Roundup at the Big Thunder Ranch. Lots of cool pumpkin carving masterpieces were being created on the spot:
My favorite Disney character, Dopey:
Even Sparky had his own pumpkin:
The line was fairly long, so I skipped the Conjure A Villain Tent Attraction.
Then the time finally arrived for me to put on my costume and meet up with my friends to enjoy Mickey's Halloween Party.
Tomorrow will be a Halloween Extravaganza!
