Clock of the World, April 1958

This is definitely one of the better shots of the Clock of the World that I have. Great view of the sun and moon at top, with a very hip retro looking couple posing in front. In addition, I am throwing in this shot of the Monorail and station from April 1965. Nice picture, but I also noticed what appears to be a G and a D graphic element in the Submarine Voyage sign. Anyone know what that is all about?

General Dynamics was as early sponsor.

Great scan of the clock, I don’t think I have ever seen the sun & moon thing on the top in such detail. That couple looks ready for the “Enchantment Under the Sea” Dance”! I never knew about General Dynamics as a sponsor of the Sub Ride, very nice find with that one Dave! Thanks for the Info Anonymous. Tim

That couple is awesome! It almost looks like they are trying to look as "50's" as possible.

I have seen one rare early example of the beautiful attraction poster for the subs in which it says that it is sponsored by General Dynamics...wish I had bought it! Also, there used to be other GD posters placed around the queue area that were quite beautiful, designed by Eric Nitsche.
