Today's Audie Murphy at Disneyland installment takes place in Adventureland aboard the Jungle Cruise attraction. The Murphy family was on the Ganges Gal. Here they are about to approach the front side of the back side of water:
A giraffe!
Time to go under Schweitzer Falls:
The end of another successful cruise; the Murphy family returns safely to the dock:

I wasn't going to say it, but yes, that was genuinely my first thought. I opted to make light of it instead but I wondered how a lot of WW2 vets reacted to the gunshot part of this. Audie seems to be smiling as they pass under the backside of water, nothing to indicate he's having issues at that moment. Having experienced my own PTSD from the 5 years I worked in law enforcement, it comes at night, in the quiet when you're left alone with your thoughts, not out in public for the most part.

I would imagine Murphy took out the hippo before the skip got a shot off.
That would have made a great photo! I read that the poor guy suffered greatly from PTSD; I wonder how some of the noises on the Cruise affected him.

That's pretty much what I have been told from friends who suffer from that; the nighttime is the worst. I hope you are doing better these days.
