The Hills Are Alive, February 1960

How about a nice cup of Hills Brothers Coffee to get your week started? Disneyland once had the Hills Brothers Coffee Garden in Town Square, where guests could get a jolt of java to help brace themselves for a full day with the kids. And the little kid staring at the camera on the far right...I believe he was the inspiration for Damien from “The Omen.”

Replacing the Maxwell House Coffee House Restaurant in 1958, the Hills Brothers Coffee Garden closed in December 1976.

This lovely lady is enjoying her coffee and perhaps a "delectable dessert" as the vintage advertisements proclaimed. I am really digging the Grand Canyon Diorama poster behind her!

Let’s zoom in on her table, shall we? I just can't help but be nosey that way.

See more Disneyland Town Square photos at my main website.

Photo #4 is amazing. Couldn't agree more Dave! I love the color of the yellow wall with the contrast of the Disneyland RR poster about the Grand Canyon in purple. I also find the design on the glass of the door behind her amazing too. Makes me want to stop and sip some coffee and just take in a beautiful So. Cal. morning.

Always your pal,
Amazon Belle

This is exactly why everyone needed to chill out when Starbucks arrived at the parks!

Also, thank you for sharing these images!
