Welcome back to these July 1955 3D images showing Fantasyland. The Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant was still under construction after the opening of Disneyland. Look at those workers toiling away while Guests go casually about their business!

Note the early Tournament Festival style façades of the Fantasyland Dark Rides. Mr. Toad can be seen in the background. On the far right it looks like a tot in a stroller is in imminent danger of a time-out!
A nice juicy closeup of Dumbo!
At this stage, the ears were still on hinges and they were able to flap. Well, sometimes at least. That was the theory.
Storybook Land was but a dream at this point; the banks were nothing but mud.

Dave, your FauxD process is hilarious, if quease inducing. This looks(and feels) like Southern California on July 5th, 2019.
The last photo is of the Welch's Grape Juice Bar and the Fantasyland Theatre, though it doesn't have a sign yet.
I have a Fantasyland ViewMaster set from the first year (no Skyway ), and it includes a nifty shot of 4 or 5 Dumbos in flight, their ears all at different levels, so the effect did work for a while.
I don't think I ever realized that Dumbo had lips on his trunk? Looks odd.

Wow, those are some clear photos! Plays with a person's sense of time, because there's the perception that only we can produce those really clear photos, while obviously that's not true!
I love seeing pictures of the Tuna Boat during it's brief, "we're not quite finished yet" all-red phase.
Stefano, aaagh! Now that I've seen those "lips," I can't un-see them!

A joy to see the Park 'in the raw'. Skull Rock added so much to the Land. It's so stark without that background. KS
