Bonnie and Clyde at Disneyland

Check out this undated image (most likely 1957) of a young Bonnie & Clyde driving their getaway car through the Disneyland Midget Autopia. Bonnie is concentrated on the wheel; Clyde is looking at something unknown.

Could it be the two parked cars that he is plotting to make his own?

Beware of youngsters behind the wheel!

I LOVE fresh-dirt Disneyland pics. It's the excitement of something fresh and newly created.

Maybe they should've replaced Luigi's Flying Tires with a "Midget Autopia" redo. At least the children seemed to enjoy it.

My goodness, that is as early a picture as one could wish for, the dirt still looks loose around the plantings. So raw and unfinished.

My youngest cousin was so appalled he had to ride this one vs the junior or 'real' one because he was soooo short! He, like most kids, wanted to drive a 'real' car that was not driven by the track down the middle. I always thought this ride was really cute to stand there and watch the real little ones on it. I was lucky and tall enough when Disney opened, and was able to drive the 'regular' autotopia cars. - Wish they would ax Small World and bring this back!

I still have fond memories of this attraction. I loved popping out the garage doors at the end. It was great especially at night with those operating headlights...something you didn't find on the 'real' Autopia. I thought I did a good job steering too! :) KS
