Getting Mod, Part 1

Often ignored in my blog, it is now time to pay a little homage to that mod decade, the 70’s. All from this series are from August 1972, and presented (for the most part) in the order that they were taken. Shot #1 is from the Frontierland Depot, with a few Dusty Springfield wannabes and Bob, who just left the factory and is grumpy because he forgot his pocket protector. Shots 2 & 3 show our Mod Squad gals enjoying the teacups; #3 is obviously taken from the Skyway.

This one is for the request yesterday to see the signs on the wall and the furry object on the wall; my guess is that it’s a combo scarf and fan combo, perhaps from the Golden Horseshoe:

More treasures from Daveland's vast underground vaults! Could that thing on the wall in the last picture be part of the Indian Dancer's costume? They had all kinds of feathered accouterments.

Considering there was an indian in the photo, your theory makes much more sense than mine - good work, Major!

Sweet treasures! Wow, photo #2 looks professionally done. Check out the background, Pirate Ship, Skull Rock, Monstro and the Canal boat Lighthouse, and the ride looks so inviting too, I’d almost want to ride it. BUT, photo #3 is spinning so nicely its already making me dizzy…. Thanks Dave!

Thanks for the close-up. I think you are right Major, now that you put that idea in our heads, you can use your imagination to make that into a big fancy headdress with feathers and some hanging beads. Good eye!
