More Janet Leigh at Disneyland, 1962

Actress Janet Leigh is in Disneyland’s Town Square, circa 1962, with daughters Kelly and Jamie Lee Curtis. Those Mickey Mouse sunglasses on Jamie Lee are the bomb;

On the right it looks like a Keppy Kap, but the design is different from the original ones sold at the Park. How about that Disneyland Guidebook? Shown in living color below:

I love the little girl munching on her popcorn; in the previous shot, she is giving the death-look to her companion: “Touch my popcorn and die!”

Meanwhile, Jamie Lee is focused on the Mickey Mouse Disneyland balloon:

Holiday 1963 Miscellany

Time for the grand finale of this December 1963 Christmas batch. Feathered Hat Gal is at the gate of Frontierland. The tyke is tired and in the stroller now. Or maybe she just wants to be close to her Mickey balloon.

From the Mark Twain, we have a view of the Rivers of America dock; looks like a foggy morning!

Feathered Hat Gal poses aboard the Twain.

Two views of the thundering falls of Cascade Peak:

The last one shows the Yellow Monorail at the station, with the Skyway Buckets overhead.

The Yachtsmen Quartet have abandoned their post:

This 1965 image shows where they would normally be performing:

Town Square Medley

While digging through my Disneyland City Hall collection, I discovered a few Town Square gems I had not posted yet, starting with two from April 1970.

Nothing says Main Street fun like this shot of the Disneyland Band playing a concert in Town Square, circa February 1971:

Disneyland is known for its spring florals, such as the bright plantings in these two February 1971 images:

Our 1971 photographer was intent on capturing the progression of the Horse-Drawn Streetcar:

Looks like that newfangled Horseless Carriage is about to be overtaken by its Horse-Drawn counterpart!

Monday On The Mighty Mark Twain

Presented in chronological order (surprise!) is this set of vintage images featuring Disneyland’s Mark Twain. The first two are from 1956. Naturally, I had to zoom in to gawk at the guests; dig that Mickey Mouse balloon!

This nighttime shot of the Twain is a personal favorite from my collection.

Moving ahead a decade here are three shots from October 1966:

Final one for today is from April 1970:
