Just a quick peek at the amazing Guillermo del Toro exhibit at LACMA which, unfortunately, finished its run last Sunday. This incredible tableau by Mike Hill is titled "Forsaken," and depicts the Frankenstein creature about to get rejected by his new-born "bride." Dr. Pretorius stands nearby, watching the proceedings.
The Bride as a ginger? Who knew.

We belong dead! Being a huge horror fan, I'm bummed to have missed this particular LACMA exhibit. I have seen lots of pics of Guillermo del Toro's collection though and he has collected some really cool items.

Unfortunately the display plaques I saw didn't specify material. Looked like wax...but not sure.
Figures like that are usually sculpted in clay, then molded in silicone & painted. The
torsos & limbs may be made of different materials.

Awesome. I love Bride of Frank, and I love Mr. del Toro. I randomly happened to hear a public radio interview with him about this exhibit, and it sounded great. Looking forward to seeing your pics.
