Tencennial: The Jungle Cruise

We have just left Frontierland and are now in the heart of Adventureland, entering the World Famous Jungle Cruise. It looks like our boat is the Orinoco Adventuress. Now we are entering the Ancient Shrine; beware of Spiders!

Here is the Elephant Pool, with all the humor you’d expect from a Marc Davis scene:

And what trip to the JC would be complete without a view of the “back” side of water (yes, I realize this view is from the front).

Ah, The African Veldt; another area for the genius of Davis (refering to the poor gents up the tree):

And so ends today’s trip back to the Tencennial. Have no fear; there is still more to come. See more vintage (and current) Disneyland Jungle Cruise photos on my regular website.

Dave- Any idea who the photographer was? These shots are amazing. It appears he or she was a professional or a highly skilled amateur. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, these are some exceptionally nice Jungle Cruise shots! I'll bet the photographer was a talented amateur.

Patrick - No idea on the photographer or background info on the slides. However, they really are a sweet bunch of views. This person knew what they were doing.

Certainly look like pro slides. Some of the angles on these photos you just don't get from the boat - the guy had special access.
