In 1962, Janet Leigh took her two daughters (Jamie Lee and Kelly) to Disneyland while her then-husband, Tony Curtis, was filming “Forty Pounds of Trouble” at the Park. In photo #1, she seems to be having a dilemma with Kelly, who is crying buckets. Could she be protesting a ride on the Matterhorn? You can see the wheels spinning in Janet’s head…does she force screaming Kelly to go on the ride or allow her child to remain behind and miss the fun?
Based on shot #2 it would appear that Jamie Lee but not Kelly went on the Matterhorn attraction.
Somebody from Janet’s entourage stayed behind to watch Kelly. Jamie Lee is either open-mouthed with glee or terror; not sure which, as I don’t have a follow-up image. These are the things that shape a kid’s future.
Wonder if she channeled this event for the movie “Halloween”?

I once watched the (relevant) clip of Disney footage from "Forty Pounds of Trouble". By the time it was done, I too was crying. This is the only vintage Disney footage I wouldn't mind being erased from time.
