My Mom turns 90 years young today and I am fortunate to be able to celebrate with her in person. Photo #1 shows her in 1939 with her father and her brother.
Regular readers of this blog have probably seen this shot of her on the Pack Mule attraction at Disneyland in 1965.
This photo was from my last visit to Philly, just before the pandemic. I am thankful that I can still help celebrate all of the amazing accomplishments and milestones she has accumulated over the years. Happy Birthday, Mom!

That's wonderful, Dave! A real blessing. My sister and I just took my 81 year old Mom to Disneyland. She rode them all including Rise of the Resistance, Big Thunder, Indy, and her favorite, Pirates. We had a blast! The years go so fast...
ReplyDeleteAnd a very Happy Birthday to your Mom. Time for you to make a trip to Philly in the near future Dave. BTW...you look so much like her brother..your uncle. KS
ReplyDeleteDitto, that's your uncle?! Twins! Best birthday wishes to your mom. She's truly lived through the most interesting century history had to offer. I hope she's doing well.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Mrs. Davesmom!
ReplyDeleteMark - I remember as a kid hearing adults say how fast time went and I thought they were crazy. Now at my age...not so crazy!
ReplyDeleteKS - I celebrated with Mom in Philly this year. Was good to be back.
Bryan - I never thought of the resemblance with my Uncle, but yes - I do see it.
Thanks Melissa!
Dave, wishing your Mom a Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us.
Best to both of you.

Ok, I'll try this again. My apologies for chiming in late to this; just read this post. Congratulations to your mom on turning 90 years young!! Indeed, this is quite the milestone! My dad turned 92 this past August. I'm glad that you were able to be there with her to celebrate, as I know she was thrilled to have you there as well. Great pic of the two of you! Awesome post Dave; thank you so much for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteBtw, the pic of your mother with your grandfather and uncle is awesome! I can definitely see the family resemblance. Thanks again for posting it!
ReplyDeleteThanks JG! It was a great time.
ReplyDeleteKyle - Congrats to your Dad as well!
