Leeches at Disneyland? Yech!

A slightly-scary exhibit makes Cathy Smith's eyes pop as she looks at a jar of leeches, the flat worms once considered very important in medicine. As part of the treatment of a variety of ailments, the creatures were used to draw blood from patients.

ReplyDeleteActually, you'll notice that the leeches are no longer on display in the park. They worked their way into management. Who do you think decides the ticket prices?
When I went to Land, I asked about feeding the leeches. The man smiled and said that he stuck his own arm in the jar.
