Let’s hop into our December 1960 Autopia vehicle and cruise into the weekend! Unfortunately I can’t get a good sharp closeup of the dashboard sign from this image.
Note the Santa Fe sponsorship sign is still on the Tomorrowland Train Depot:
Here’s another December 1960 shot that I previously posted:
Cropping in closer, we get the real joy of this shot: focusing on the determined look of the little boy who is behind the wheel of a "car" for the very first time.
Have a great weekend!

I always wondered what it was like to drive the Autopia without that blasted center rail? I love the action of the Attraction Host hopping on the car and about to give it gas and steer it in for the driver. I never worked the Autopia but I believe they did that for the first car back, so as to ensure that person didn't get a second ride without submitting their 'C' Coupon. Have a great weekend Dave!
ReplyDeleteAlways your pal,
Amazon Belle
We'd pick out the lead car to jump on...and the second as well to insure it would stop behind without hitting the lead car. Behind those it was 'destruction derby'. KS
